About Kyra D. Adams, MSW, PMH-C, CLC, ICCE

Kyra earned her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Florida State University College of Social Work. Since graduating, she has been dedicated to giving back to the College of Social Work by being a Field Educator to Social Work student interns, a Student Mentor to online graduate students, and she is currently an Adjunct Professor teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses. Along with her collegiate studies, she has completed certifications in Leadership in Executive and Administrative Development (FSU), Lactation Counseling (ALPP), Perinatal Mental Health (PSI), Childbirth Education (ICEA) and Birth Doula. Kyra has also completed specialized trainings to utilize evidence-based, perinatal depression curricula such as Mothers and Babies developed by Northwestern University as well as Moving Beyond Depression developed by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Throughout her career she has been a case manager, provided one-to-one breastfeeding education and support, taught group childbirth and newborn care education classes, led peer support groups, provided support to moms that were experiencing postpartum depression and grief support to moms that experienced a pregnancy or infant loss. In March 2021, Kyra finally followed her vision in developing a program to provide services to mothers and she looks forward to providing services to YOU!
